My Philosophy
״As a therapist, I believe in the inherent strengths of my clients. We build upon those strengths, using evidence-based practices, to promote transformational and relational healing."
About Catherine
Originally from Mississippi, I lived all over the US - Austin TX, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland OR - before returning home to the Gulf Coast to be closer to family.
I received a bachelor's degree and master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Later, I received a master's degree in Marriage, Couple, & Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College in Portland OR.
I started my career in community mental health working with children and their families. In my private practice, I enjoy working with pre-teens, teens, and adults. I have a particular interest in working with those with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. I especially enjoy working with couples and families experiencing relational distress.
In my time away from the office, you can find me on a yoga mat, spending time with family, or planning my next BFF trip.

Services
Individual
In our individual therapy sessions, the focus is on you and your context. Through a collaborative and supportive approach, we find and grow your strengths. We notice learned ways of being that are no longer working for you or are causing distress. We incorporate new ways and increase insight to promote peace within, leading to a more fulfilled life.
Family
In family therapy sessions, the aim is to improve family dynamics, resolve conflicts, and strengthen bonds. By promoting understanding and effective communication, we help families navigate challenges together and create more harmonious relationships.
Couples
In couples therapy, the focus is on your relationship and its context. We aim to foster a deeper connection that feels safe and secure. Couples therapy promotes the growth of the strengths that exist in any relationship and interrupts patterns that may be harming the security of the relationship.
